Privacy

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, adverts or tracking scripts, and has no forms or sign-ups, so it collects nothing about you.

What the site stores

Nothing. Pages are plain HTML with the fonts and pictures stored on the site itself, so loading a page does not contact a font service or an advertising network. The web host keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and stop abuse, as any website's host does.

Videos

Some pages show a YouTube video from an official channel, such as Scottish Water or Home Energy Scotland. Before you press play, the page shows a still picture stored on this site, and nothing is loaded from YouTube. When you press play, the video loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and Google's privacy policy then applies to that video.

Links go to official bodies and, on a few pages, to four US businesses run by the same team as this site. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
